For centuries, the Chinese have used the traditional art of Tai Chi to maintain harmony and balance in their lives. Tai Chi is for everyone, whatever your age, level of fitness or physical ability.
Shireen has been teaching Tai Chi in Australia for more than 35 years and has a special interest in the Tai Chi weapon forms; sword, staff & fan. She began her Tai Chi career with esteemed Master Lim Tem Foo ( Andrew) and was lucky to have been taught by many different teachers with Andrew's guidance. In more recent years Shireen has felt privileged to receive tuition from Master Gao Head Coach of the Wu Shu institute in Beijing, Master Faye Li Yip & the renowned Prof Li Deyin.
Over the years Shireen and her students have been and still are involved in many Tai Chi performances, events and workshops around Perth.
Our Tai Chi classes offer a space to just be you. It feels like moving meditation and may improve health through motion.
Classes have limited places, so you get 'small group' tuition, which can improve the learning experience.

Testimonials
I was very fortunate for the universe to bring Shireen into my life at my darkest hour. At 42 years I was diagnosed with breast cancer and over the past five years she has not only taught and coached me with tai chi movements but she has also mentored me mentally, emotionally and spiritually through this challenging time in my life. Her warmth and empathy ensures she connects with people from all age groups and it’s no surprise she is a successful business woman. I am so thankful for such an amazing woman and teacher in my life.

Shireen has a unique combination of organizational and counselling skills. The breadth and variety of her experiences means that she is able to get to the core of a problem quickly, suggest solutions, and most importantly, follow through to make sure that her client or customer is satisfied with the outcome.
She is honest, patient and resourceful. She is an excellent teacher, and is able to connect with all age groups, from small children to retirees, and with people from many different cultural backgrounds.
I have been a friend and colleague for many years, and regard her as one of the most competent, reliable and honest people I have known.
I have been one of Shireen's tai chi students for several years. I have tried other sports and groups in the past but Shireen stands out as a skilled tai chi practitioner and knowledgable teacher. She caters to students of different ages, and backgrounds. Everyone is welcomed and Shireen mentors each of us providing specific attention and help for our individual levels. I have also noticed that Shireen is astute in business and adjusts with the times. It seems there are more students now than before the pandemic, mainly due to Shireen's adaptable approach.

I have attended Shireen Dindar's Traditional Tai Chi classes for 9 years.
Shireen is a dedicated teacher and gives willing of her time. People of all age groups enjoy her classes and her company. She is always encouraging and extremely patient during demonstrations to make things as simple as possible and encourages you to do your best.
Stacia Walton (Tai Chi student)
Shireen is very honest and passionate about her teaching tai chi. She encourages her students to do the best of their abilities. Her class is a mixture of merriment and peacefulness. She doesn’t push her students to do what they can’t, just guide them and make adjustment for some individual movement, no pressure at all. Shireen seems to be busy and active with her various business but she also has time to talk with her students if they have troubles or problems.
You’re a great teacher, Shireen.

Shireen is a wonderful instructor who is not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and understanding. She creates a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that makes learning Tai Chi enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their experience level. She takes the time to explain the philosophy behind Tai Chi and its numerous health benefits. The classes are well-structured, blending the physical movements with the mental and spiritual aspects of Tai Chi.

I am a beginner Tai Chi student at Shireen's school. Having done some traditional martial arts before, I appreciate how she gives individual attention to all students and helps everyone practice according to their abilities. This is very different to some pseudo-tai chi gym classes where there is little focus on the participants. I have also noticed how she finds the golden middle, working within the Australian culture but respecting a Chinese tradition. When some tai chi schools in Perth do not give much information about the lineage of their instructors, she is open and proud about her heritage, which makes her a more authentic teacher.
All those things make me come back regularly to her classes because I feel that I am developing my health in a balanced way, supported by years of experience.
Customer service:
Shireen is always authentic and open in her communications. By being a real person rather than a trainer marketer, she makes me feel that she has something real to give. Her 10-class package allows for flexibility.
Thanks to Shireen, I found a physical activity I enjoy, my health improved, I rediscovered a connection with martial arts and found more connection.

I have known Shireen in a professional context for the past seven years. Throughout that time I have had the pleasure to be involved with her work both directly (as a student) and indirectly (through friends and family engaging with her). During this time I have witnessed the strength of Shireen’s engagement with her peers and witnessed first hand the dedication and care that she puts into all aspects of her professional life. Shireen has the ability to make people feel at ease quickly and can resonate with her clients and mentee’s regardless of their individual age or circumstance. She shows an unwavering commitment to building up those around her and its this ability to foster an inclusive and caring environment that keeps people naturally engaged with her work. I have personally benefited from my interactions with Shireen in a way that is tough to express in mere words. She has assisted me in my personal growth and helped foster a confidence that now permeates through both my personal and professional life. Shireen’s ability to balance running her businesses, mentoring others and facilitating major community events highlights just how much she cares about both her work and the broader community. She is an inspiration to myself and all of those who encounter her on a daily basis.

Learning Tai Chi with Shireen, I not only learn the art itself but also experience Shireen’s inspiring way of teaching. She can individualize every lesson to suit the mood, ability and need of all people present through gentle, yet focused prompts. She creates genuine, inclusive and kind environment that I love to return to each week.
